Caldwell Regional Career Center HOSA Competes at State

The Caldwell Regional Career Center HOSA Club attended the Kentucky State Health Occupations Students of America Convention in Louisville March 14th-16th.

Thirty-two students attended and competed in various contests during their stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel with 18 students qualifying to advance to the next round. They had 3 students place in the top 5 in the State with Marissa Smith placing 2nd in Medical Law and Ethics and winning a scholarship to Sullivan University. Smith shared she had to place in the regional contest to move on to the state competition.

click to download audioThe other students placing in the top 5 at the State Convention were Avery Thompson placing 4th in Nursing Assistant and Raylan Morse placing 5th in Cultural Diversity.
