County Clerk Presents Restored Historical Record Book and Primary Election Details

During the fiscal court meeting last Tuesday, Caldwell County Clerk Jennifer Hale presented the magistrates with the latest restoration of the Freedman’s Marriage Book and provided information about the upcoming May Primary Election.

Hale said that the original pages have been laminated, resulting in a wonderful restoration of the Freedman’s Marriage Book.

Judge-Executive Kota Young said the Freedman’s Marriage Book is an amazing historical record and commended Hale on her work that future generations can enjoy.

click to download audioHale then turned her attention to the upcoming May Primary Election and reminded registered voters of the dates for early in-person absentee voting.

click to download audioShe announced the dates for no-excuse early voting are scheduled for May 16th through May 18th, and she also provided the locations of the vote centers.
