Judy Hammonds, 75, of Caldwell County

Judy Sullivan Hammonds, passed away on June 19, 2024, at Princeton Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born on March 4, 1949, in Caldwell County, Judy’s life was one marked by a commitment to her family and friends.

Judy’s life was defined by her devotion to those she loved. She is survived by her three children, Amy (Brent) Ladd, Kelly Capps, and Ben (Holly) VanHooser, all of Princeton. Her love extended to her six grandchildren, Andrew Landreth, Gracie (Taylor) Curtis, Maggie (Joe) Pelletier, Drake (Lorielle) VanHooser, Hunter (Macy) VanHooser, and Tate VanHooser, as well as her eight great-grandchildren, Brooks, Beau, Barrett, Kit, Lowe, Lila, and the eagerly expected twins. Each of them held a special place in her heart.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul “Eddie” Hammonds, her parents, Howard Sullivan and Margaret Oats Sullivan, and her sister, Coleen Pettit.

A proud graduate of Caldwell County High School in 1967, Judy’s achievements continued as she dedicated 44 years as a bookkeeper to Farmers Bank and Trust Company in Princeton, Kentucky. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Princeton.

Judy’s interests were simple yet profound. Her family. She found joy in cooking for them, a gesture that was both an expression of love and a means of gathering loved ones together. Judy’s life was an embodiment of giving, as she constantly looked out for the needs of others, often before her own. Judy Sullivan Hammonds exemplified what it means to live for others.

Visitation for Judy will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at Morgan’s Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Funeral service for Judy Hammonds will be held Friday. June 21, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Morgans Funeral Home with Bro. Dane Hodges officiating.

Committal service to follow in Meeks cemetery in Caldwell County.
