Political Forum for local county candidates held in Princeton Monday
A sizable crowd was on hand at a local political forum held Monday night in Princeton.
Both candidates running for Caldwell County Judge Executive, Phillip Sisk and Larry Curling, were joined by those running for Magistrate District Two, Jeff Boone and Shirley Gray, and District Four, George Kilgore and Jeff Simms, at the forum held at the courthouse.
Each candidate had three minutes to answer each of the three questions and three minutes for closing remarks. Questions ranged from why Caldwell County citizens should vote for each candidate, to what each candidate thought was the most pressing issue facing the county, to the decision to keep or close the local jail.
Phillip Sisk, Democratic candidate for Judge Executive, stated in his closing remarks what he believes makes a successful fiscal court and what he would do to help it succeed.
Larry Curling, Republican candidate for Judge Executive, revealed exactly what the county can expect should he be elected.
More highlights from Monday night’s forum, with comments from each candidate, will be released in the following days during our morning show.
The general election will be held on Tuesday, November 6th.
