Caldwell County has been awarded over $350,000 to pave six roads within the county.

Judge Executive Ellen Dunning shared the news during a regular session Fiscal Court meeting Tuesday morning in Princeton. The Department of Rural and Municipal Aid awarded the county $227,000 in discretionary funds to pave sections of Brown Hill Road, Orange Road, and Cummins Road.

The funds are in addition to the $131,000 the county was awarded in May to pave parts of Echo Valley Road and Princeton Olney Road, as well as all of Wood Lane.

The funds will reimburse the county for repairs to correct cracks, potholes, and base failures and paving for all sections will continue over the next few weeks.
