Community Blood Drive Thursday
Local community members will have the opportunity to save lives this week.
The American Red Cross will hold a Community Blood Drive Thursday, October 4th, from noon until 6PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Princeton.
Donors can be anyone 17 and older who feels well, weighs at least 110 pounds, and has not donated whole blood in the past 56 days. Those who are 16 years old may donate if a parent accompanies them to the donation center. Prospective donors should bring either a photo ID or their Red Cross Donor card.
Appointments are not required, walk-ins are always welcome, but those who wish may use the new Rapid Pass, which could save up to 15 minutes on the day of the blood donation. You can find more information about Rapid Pass online at redcrossblood.org.
Caldwell County Blood Program Chairperson Anita James said in a press release that all donors who give blood in October will be entered to win a $500 gift card. All winners will be notified by email on or around November 20th.
Those wishing to donate on Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church must enter the front doors of the Family Life Center, go down the hallway and enter the gym area. Calvary Baptist Church is located at 121 Kentucky Avenue, off of HWY 62 West, in Princeton.
