Eating is never better than when you can do so for a cause.

A cook-out benefit for Feeding God’s Children Backpack Program will be held on Thursday, October 11th from 11AM until sold out on the Butler Lawn in Princeton.

The menu includes pork sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, and half chickens, which can all be purchased as meals with chips, drink, and homemade brownies. Prices start at $5 for sandwiches only, $7 for sandwich meals and half chickens, and $9 for half chicken meals.

All proceeds will go to help purchase food from Feeding America – Kentucky’s Heartland, which provides food for the Backpack Program at Caldwell County Schools. The Backpack Program supplies easy to prepare meals every weekend for children who may not otherwise have an opportunity to eat. The Backpack Program services all four Caldwell County Schools.

Meals can be purchased in advance from the Caldwell County Extension Office by calling them at 270-365-2787. Deliveries will be made to businesses with ten or more orders.
