A Dawson Springs man has been arrested for various drug charges after a routine traffic stop on Saturday night.

Caldwell County Sheriff Stan Hudson reports that a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 293 North at around nine. Upon an investigation at the scene, the deputy discovered drugs in the vehicle driven by Michael Douglas Blades, age 37.

Blades was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance first degree, first offense methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, among other charges.

Blades was then lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
