John Childs, President of the Caldwell County Band Boosters, was in studio Tuesday morning to talk to WPKY about an upcoming fundraiser for the Band of Pride.

The Band Boosters and the Band of Pride will be having a fundraiser Thursday, September 28, in the Butler parking lot. They will be selling pork chop and chicken sandwiches, either by themselves for $5 or in a meal with chips, drink, and homemade brownies, for $7. They will be taking pre-orders till Friday, September 22, but will also take walk-up orders day of. They will also deliver to area businesses who have multiple orders. You can either contact a band member or call John at 270-839-3980 to place your order.

This fundraiser, and many others, help with the Band of Pride’s expenses throughout the year. John said that it takes between $30,000 and $40,000 to cover transportation costs, uniforms, hotel stays, and more. Two thirds of those funds come from the community, whether it’s donations of money or time and personal equipment.
