Judgement House this week at Southside Baptist Church
It’s the last few weeks of October and for one local church that means it’s time for their annual walk-through drama.
Southside Baptist Church will be holding it’s annual Judgement House program beginning Saturday, October 20th at 3PM. This year’s drama, “Shaken,” tells the story of a condemned building which has become the hotspot for teens and illicit drug and alcohol use and how decisions today can last for a lifetime.
Brother Kody Fox, Youth Minister at Southside, says that while the storyline may be geared toward, and about, young people it’s a message those of all ages can relate to.
The drama, which is a walk-through experience where the audience follows along with the actors scene by scene, will show every day situations that happen in today’s culture and the consequences of a person’s actions, whether good or bad.
Even though the drama is normally presented during the Halloween season, Bro, Kody assured the community that it’s not a scary event, however some situations have the potential to be shocking.
It’s suggested that those younger than 6th grade not attend the drama. Child care will be provided on site.
Judgement House will be held beginning Saturday, October 20th at 3PM and will run through Sunday, October 21st, then Wednesday, October 24th through Sunday, October 28th. Doors will open at 1PM on both Sundays and at 6PM on weeknights. Walk-ins are welcome but to make reservations call the church at 270-365-5510.
