List of Candidates for Offices in Caldwell County
Tuesday was the last day to to file for office for the Kentucky 2018 primary. Caldwell County Clerk Toni Watson has released the list of candidates who have filed for offices in Caldwell County.
For Caldwell County’s Judge Executive, Rick Blackburn, Phillip W. Sisk, William C. Carrington III, current Judge Executive Ellen Dunning, and Tracie Turner will be running against each other as Democrats. Larry Curling will be running as the only Republican.
For Magistrates, Republican Elbert Bennett is seeking re-election for District One. He is running unopposed. Democrat Shirley Boyd Gray and Republicans Edward D Schmidt and Jeff Boone are running for District Two. Democrat Brent Stallins is seeking re-election for District Three. He is running unopposed. And Democrats George B. Kilgore and Darrell W. Egbert and Republican Jeffrey Alex Simms are running for District Four.
Democrat Dewayne Trafford is seeking re-election as the Caldwell County Coroner. He is running unopposed.
Democrat Danny Hooks is seeking re-election as Caldwell County’s Circuit Clerk. He is running unopposed.
Democrat Ricky Tosh is running for Caldwell County Surveyor. He is running unopposed.
For Caldwell County Jailer, Democrat Jon Pettit is running for re-election. He’ll be facing Democrat Joe Don Doom.
Democrat Stan Hudson will be seeking re-election as Caldwell County Sheriff. He is running unopposed.
For Caldwell County Attorney, current Attorney Roy Massey IV, a Democrat, is running and will be facing Republican Matt Schalk.
Democrat Toni C. Watson is seeking re-election as Caldwell County’s Clerk. She is running unopposed.
Democrat Ronald Wood is seeking re-election for Caldwell County PVA. He is running unopposed.
For Caldwell County Constable, Democrat Dennis Hughes is running for District One, Democrat Brian Hicks is running for District Two, and Democrat Steven Tays is running for District Four. All three are running unopposed.
The primary election will be held on May 22nd, the general election will be held on November 6th.
