Local community members will have a chance to compile memories and write their own story thanks to an upcoming workshop at the Caldwell County Extension Office.

Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences, Ashley White, said the Extension Office will hold a Memory Banking workshop on Monday October 15th, 22nd, and 29th beginning at 2PM at their location on Highway 62 West in Princeton. The story of your life helps explain who you are, where you’ve been, how you go there, where you are now, and even what you will be doing in the future. The workshop will help participant remember parts of their life and give them the resources to share their story with others.

During the three workshop sessions participants will partake in memory jogging activities and write notes on what they remember. Notes can then be compiled later in any way they feel, whether that’s writing it out, drawing, scrapbooking, etc.

Ashley said the workshop is free and open to all in the public, anyone interested needs to call the Extension Office at 270-365-2787. Ashley asked that all who wish to participate sign up by Friday, October 12th.
