Natalie Lee and Colin Hughes from the Caldwell County Farmers Market were in studio Thursday morning to talk to WPKY about the Farmers Market.

Natalie started off by telling listeners that the market will have extended days and hours this year and will meet on Tuesdays from 11AM to 1PM, Thursdays from 4 to 6PM, and Saturdays from8AM to noon. The Farmers Market will open for the season on Saturday, May 26th and they will be set up where they were last year, between the Frank P. Giannini Senior Citizen Center and Princeton Park on North Eagle Street in Princeton. The market will have all kinds of goods including veggies, fruits, baked goods, homemade crafts, dog treats, flowers and plants, gluten and dairy free baked goods, and more.

Natalie then stated that applications can be picked up at the UK Extension Office for anyone interested in joining the Farmers Market. It’s $50 a season or $7 per day that you set up. Colin then gave a quick update about the Permanent Pavilion Project progress stating that they are still working on getting all the funds for the matching grant and that if anyone is wanting to donate they can contact the Farmers Market on Facebook or even stop by the Farmers Market on market days.
