Mitzi Bumpus, Director of the Frank P. Giannini Senior Citizen Center, and Marshall Oakley, Manager at Food Giant, were in studio Friday morning to talk to WPKY about the cookout to raise money for PACS services on Saturday.

Mitzi told listeners that the cookout will be held from 10AM to 2PM on Saturday at the Senior Citizen Center on North Eagle Street in Princeton. Marshall said that they will be selling smoked Boston Butts, ribs, chickens, burgers, hotdogs, and pork tenderloins. For $5 you can purchase a burger, pork tenderloin sandwich, or hotdog meal that will include chips and a drink. The hotdog meal includes two hotdogs. He also said that they will be giving away a Boston Butt and you can be entered to win it by going to their Facebook page, Food Giant Princeton KY, and liking, sharing, and tagging a friend in the post about the Boston Butt giveaway. Mitzi then said that all proceeds from Saturday’s cookout will go to the PACS services that help provide home delivered meals, personal care needs, light housekeeping, and more for the seniors in our community.

Mitzi then told listeners about some other upcoming events through the Senior Citizen Center, including a trip to Lambert’s on Friday, May 25th, and trips to Pennyrile State Resort Park for their Senior Days. For more information you can call them at 270-365-7446.
