A Princeton man was arrested on various drug charges after officers found him passed out behind the wheel over the weekend.

According to a Princeton Police report, officers observed a vehicle that was parked in the roadway on Depot Street, with the engine still running, just after four Saturday morning. Officers then found the driver, 46-year-old Scotty Watson, passed out behind the wheel.

Watson was unable to perform a field sobriety test and was taken into custody. A search of his person and the vehicle also revealed methamphetamine and evidence of trafficking.

Watson was charged with DUI first offense, trafficking in a controlled substance first degree second offense greater than two grams methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance first degree first offense methamphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance first degree first offense.

Watson was then lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
