From the Office of Representative Lynn Bechler – Frankfort

Representative Lynn Bechler, R-Marion, worked tirelessly along with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture to achieve a fairground grant for Crittenden County. The grant in its totality is worth $100,000, and is one of several infrastructure grants that seeks to improve Kentucky’s quality for all of its citizens.

“House Republicans are committed to rebuilding this state in every way we can,” said Rep. Bechler. “The size of this grant is incredible, and will improve the local fair grounds and the quality of activities that can be held there. I would like to thank my good friend, Commissioner Ryan Quarles for his help in this effort. ”

Commissioner of Agriculture Ryan Quarles also commented on the matter, “I am excited to see how the Crittenden County Fair Board puts this $100,000 grant to use,” Commissioner Quarles said. “The building that will be constructed as a result of these funds will allow local citizens to learn about and enjoy our strong agricultural traditions.”

Representative Bechler has always had a strong belief in boosting infrastructure in the 4th district and across the state. This is one of many steps he has taken to better his district’s development. The funds awarded were allocated by a line-item from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s general fund, as well as Commissioner Quarles’ work getting the grant approved by the County Fair Grant Selection Committee.

The money will result in a in a 60ft. by 80ft. building to be utilized by the community for events and local spectacles.
