Richard Nelson, Director of the Commonwealth Policy Center, was in studio Tuesday morning for a monthly update.
Richard told listeners about several things going on both nationally and throughout the state including the civic responsibility of voting and voter turn out, homelessness, the opioid epidemic, issues with foster care, and current issues with Medicade that are facing the state. Richard then spoke about the Declaration of Independence and the country’s beginning, taking time to read a portion of the document. Richard also mentioned that the Commonwealth Policy Center will be providing voter guides for each of the upcoming state races in November on their website. The voter guides will have each state candidate and where they stand on current issues. Guides will be available sometime in September.
