Richie McKinney, local artist, was in studio Wednesday morning to talk to WPKY about some of his mural art around Princeton.

Richie mentioned to listeners that he finished the upkeep of “Freddie” the Tiger on the side of the CAB building on the Caldwell County High School’s campus Tuesday. Freddie’s home has been there on the outer wall of the CAB for almost 30 years. Richie then thanked Will Brown, Superintendent Randy McCarty, and the Caldwell County Board of Education for allowing him to do the project.

He then spoke about several other projects he’s done around town as well as the teachers who discovered his talents in school and prepared him for his later career. He also spoke of his relationship with the Lord, his wife and his family, before talking in depth about his art and music.
