Teen Injured in One Vehicle Accident Saturday Afternoon
A teen was injured in a one vehicle accident that involved a boat Saturday afternoon in Caldwell County.
According to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at around 2:10pm to Cadiz Road/HWY 139 south of Princeton in reference to a one vehicle accident with potential injuries. Upon investigation it was revealed that 51-year-old Christopher Bugg, of Madisonville, was traveling northbound on Cadiz Road/HWY 139 in his 2013 Ford truck, which was towing a bass boat, when for an unknown reason he dropped off the right side of the roadway which caused him to lose control. The truck and boat then flipped over in the ditch, causing major damage to both the truck and boat.
A 14-year-old passenger in the vehicle was injured, but injuries were said to be very minimal.
Deputies say that alcohol was not a contributing factor in the accident.
Wallace Towing cleared the site and traffic was restricted to one lane for about an hour and a half.
