Three children were hurt Wednesday night after the church van they were in was hit by another vehicle.

At around 8:30 Princeton Police Officers responded to a two vehicle injury collision at the intersection of Hopkinsville and South Hawthorne Streets. Investigation revealed that Bobby Spikes, 46 of Princeton, was attempting to turn onto South Hawthorne Street when he failed to yield right-of-way to a Christ Tabernacle church van being driven by Sandra Eisenhauer, 37 of Princeton.

Three children inside the van, 8-year-old Meghan Ryler, 6-year-old Erica Davis, and 8-year-old Jayden Davis, were transported by ambulance to Caldwell Medical Center for minor injuries. Spikes and his passenger, 40-year-old William Neil, were uninjured.

Officers were assisted at the scene by Princeton Fire and Rescue and Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies.
