Two Vehicle Accident Sunday Night Sends Child to Evansville Via Air Evac
A two vehicle accident Sunday night in Caldwell County injured several and caused a child to be air lifted for non-life threatening injuries.
According to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at about 8:24pm to the scene of a two vehicle accident with possible injuries at the intersection of KY 126 and KY 672 in Caldwell County. Upon investigation is was revealed that Michael F. Geimer, of Markle, IN, was southbound on KY 672 in a 2015 Mercedes Benz van when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of KY 126. At the same time, Alisha Goodwin was traveling east on KY 126 in a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, and was continuing through the intersection with the right of way and collided with Geimer’s vehicle on the passenger side. The collision sent Geimer over the earth embankment and caused his vehicle to roll over. Goodwin’s vehicle was sent right at the intersection and hit a state highway sign before coming to a rest on the right shoulder of KY 672.
A child passenger in Goodwin’s vehicle was transported via Air Evac to St. Vincents in Evansville with a broken femur bone in one leg. Goodwin and passenger, Greggory R. Goodwin, were transported to Caldwell ER via Caldwell County EMS with minor injuries and later released. Two other juvenile passengers were transported to Caldwell ER by private vehicle and were later released.
Geimer suffered minor injuries and was transported to Caldwell ER via Caldwell County EMS and released later.
