Two people have been arrested on various drug charges, including drug trafficking, following a parole home visit Tuesday afternoon.
Princeton Police Chief Chris King says that officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of North Donnivan Street with Probation and Parole Officers to perform a home visit just before three. He adds that when officers arrived they located 42-year-old Charles E. Riley and 20-Year-old Alexis M. Gillespie.
Chief King states that Riley consented to a search of the residence which revealed marijuana plants in the drying process and approximately 2.1 grams of methamphetamine. Riley was arrested and charged with cultivating in marijuana – five plants or more and first degree trafficking methamphetamine – greater than or equal to two grams, second or greater offense.
Gillespie, who was wanted on a Lyon County bench warrant for probation violation, was also arrested. Chief King reports that a search of her person revealed drugs and paraphernalia. She was subsequently charged with her second offense of first degree possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia buying or possessing, and first degree possession of a controlled substance, among other charges.
Both Riley and Gillespie were then lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
