A fake promotional offer for a national fast food chain is circulating social media and local franchise owners are clearing up the confusion.
Kathy McEnaney, co-owner of the McDonald’s in Princeton, Eddyville, Hopkinsville, Marion, and Providence, says that a promotional offer stating McDonald’s was currently offering free meals to school aged children began circulating late this week.
She adds that all of their locations are still open and serving food, even if their dinning rooms are closed to the public.
All restaurants within the state closed their dinning rooms to the public Monday evening following mandates from Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) by complying with social distancing recommendations from national medical officials.
