Community Steps Up to Help Caldwell Medical Center

Despite growing concerns over the spread of coronavirus, the threat it brings to the healthcare system, and the uncertainty the pandemic is bringing to families and businesses throughout the nation, the local community is still gathering around each other and supporting medical providers and those on the front lines.
Caldwell Medical Center Marketing Director Joe Duncan says that over twenty businesses and individuals have either donated supplies, meals, or monetary donations to the Medical Center since efforts to combat the virus ramped up in March. He adds that Barkley Hudson – State Farm, Cathy’s Confections, and Girl Scout Troop 513 have donated cookies to staff members while WoodmenLife, Taco Bell, KFC, McDonald’s, and Hardee’s donated meals.

Duncan states that Hydro-Gear, the Caldwell County School System, Trice Hughes, Princeton Police Department, Ashland Chemical, Kentucky Nurses Association, and Buchanon’s Design Center donated much needed supplies like personal protective equipment (PPE), hand sanitizer, and gloves. He notes that the Caldwell Free Clinic have supplied vital sign machines while the Air Evac LifeTeam 120 donated 3D printed visor shields and Cash Express provided staff members with individually wrapped pens.

Duncan adds that the Faith Apostolic Church also created a yard sign at the Medical Center to encourage staff that it still in the front lawn and Shelter Insurance donated $1,000 through the Shelter Insurance Foundation.
Duncan notes that several individuals have also donated much needed items and wished to express his gratitude to all those who have donated during this time.

The Caldwell Medical Center Foundation is continuing to accept donations of PPE, disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer, goggles, face masks, and monetary donations. For more information on how you can donate you can contact Mary Beth Riley at 270-365-0352 or 270-365-0300.
