Outreach programs through the Caldwell County Extension Office had to move to a virtual platform in the wake of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and officials are asking for the community’s feedback on certain programs going into the summer and even into fall.
Ashley White, Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences, says agents are currently planning programs for the next several months and have posted a survey to get the public’s input on what subjects they’d want to learn about.
She adds that while there isn’t a necessary deadline to return the survey she would like to receive all suggestions by next week.
White states the office is currently participating in the Slow Cooker Challenge and is posting a cooking how-to video each Wednesday for the month of June, and has hopes to continue with similar programs throughout the rest of the year.
She also notes the last Slow Cooker Grab Bag will be available beginning at 8AM Tuesday, June 23rd outside of the Extension Office, which is located on Highway 62 West in Princeton, and will include several tips and information packets for Wednesday’s cooking video.
A link to the survey can be found here, or by visiting the Caldwell County Cooperative Extension Family & Consumer Sciences Facebook page. You can also get more information about all the virtual programs and grab bags by contacting the Caldwell County Extension Office at 270-365-2787.
