Only Three More Days to Cast Early Vote in Caldwell County

Caldwell County residents only have a few more days to cast their vote early to avoid projected long lines at the courthouse Election Day, June 23rd. County Clerk Toni Watson is reminding the public the courthouse will be the only polling location in the county on Election Day and will be open from 6AM to 6PM.

In order to keep lines short, Watson states the courthouse will be open from 8:30AM until 4PM on Friday, June 19th, Saturday, June 20th, and Monday, June 22nd for those who wish to cast their vote early.

Watson notes the voting process will stay the same but clerks and election workers will be following certain guidelines due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

All those who wish to participate in early voting at the courthouse are being asked to enter the north entrance, which is handicap accessible. Those who have requested absentee ballots and plan to cast their vote that way can place their ballot in one of two dropboxes available in the courthouse until Election Day.
