Princeton’s recent paving project was not only record breaking in the amount of streets paved, it also did all the work while staying under budget.
During a city council meeting Monday evening Mayor Kota Young stated paving took a total of 14 days spread over the course of a month and allowed crews to pave 80 streets and three parking lots.
He added the next step would be to lobby the state to step up and take care of highways that move through the city.
Mayor Young then expressed his gratitude to Roger’s Group for their continued work in the city.
The paving project was made possible due to lower material costs spurred by the coronavirus pandemic and an already considerable budget allocation.
