Caldwell County Officials Warning of Phone Scams Reported in Area

Caldwell County elected officials are alerting residents about several phone scams being reported in the local area.
In a post on social media Wednesday afternoon Caldwell officials stated several residents in Princeton and throughout the county have been receiving calls that their Social Security Number has been suspended because they have committed fraud. They were then asked by the caller to confirm the number.
The post expresses these types of phone calls are a scam and note no legitimate business or governmental entity will ask for personal information over the phone. Officials are reminding residents to never give out personal information over the phone or online when contact has been unsolicited.
