Princeton Fast-Tracking Fire Truck Purchase

The City of Princeton is checking into the permissibility of using a third party to solicit bids for a new fire truck they hope to have in the fleet by this time next year.
The city council voted Monday to enter into an agreement with Sourcewell for the purchase of the new fire truck subject to City Attorney Todd Wetzel determining the move is an appropriate step and allowable under law. Mayor Kota Young told the council the agreement would benefit the city.
