The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office has announced its office will be closed until Tuesday due to COVID-19 but deputies will be on duty to provide any assistance to residents and respond to emergency calls.
According to a social media post, if you have an emergency, dial 911 and if you need any assistance, call dispatch at 270-365-7860 or 370-365-2088. Authorities say deputies are available to assist you.
The sheriff’s office should reopen at 8:00 Tuesday morning after the Labor Day holiday.
No other information about the closure was released.
The announcement comes on the heels of Governor Andy Beshear announcing 5,457 newly reported COVID-19 cases Thursday, the second-highest report since the pandemic began.
