
A well-known former Caldwell County magistrate passed away Wednesday. According to Morgan’s Funeral Home, Donald C. Rogers died at his home in Princeton at the age of 83.
Rogers was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired railroad conductor for Illinois Central Gulf and P & L Railroad, as well as a life-long farmer. He served as a Caldwell County magistrate for sixteen years, along with being a Mason and a member of the Princeton VFW Post 5595.
Rogers is survived by his wife of 61-years Daisy and two sons Kyle and Kevin, seven grandchildren, nine grandchildren and several other relatives.
