If you are going to be traveling in Livingston County, be aware a contractor with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet started asphalt paving along a section of KY 2225/Jake Dukes Road Wednesday.
District 1 spokesman Keith Todd says the work zone on Jake Dukes Road runs from the KY 453/Dover Road intersection extending northward to just south of Rowland Drive.
Todd says motorists should be alert for one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. He notes some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work. In addition, motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway close to traffic flow.
According to Todd, the work is expected to take about 4 to 6 days to complete, depending on the weather.
