Volunteers and supplies are continuing to pour into Caldwell County to help community members affected by Friday night’s storm.
Pastor John Hagan with Calvary Baptist Church says they are the central command location in Princeton for volunteer registration and donations. He says they have registration for volunteers is set up in the Family Life Center portion of the church building located off of Kentucky Avenue.
He says they have meetings every morning at 8:00 to get everyone lined up where they need to go and then the work orders are taken to the job sites.
Calvary Baptist Church is also accepting donations along with serving as a distribution center. Pastor Hagan says he is overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from other counties that are wanting to help with donations.
He says they are continuing to ask people to give with three ways to donate.
According to Hagan, the donations they need differ on a day-to-day basis. Currently, he says they do not need any more clothes to be donated, but they do have three critical needs, including tarps especially since rain is in the forecast on Thursday and Friday.
In addition, he says they need brand new packaged underwear for men, women, boys, and girls, as well as laundry detergent (especially Tide for deeply stained clothing), and stain remover.
Donations can be dropped off at Calvary Baptist Church located at 121 Kentucky Avenue. If you need more information about volunteering and donations or if you have any questions call 270-963-6531.
