Calling Dawson Springs a community that used its natural springs to heal people in the early 1900s, President Joe Biden said it was the nation’s turn to return healing to the community after a tornado leveled the town last week.
The President toured the damage of Dawson Springs Wednesday afternoon and was joined by U.S. Representative James Comer, Governor Andy Beshear, and his father, former Governor and Dawson Springs native Steve Beshear. As they walked through what was left of the neighborhoods left in ruins, the Beshears spoke to people they knew, offering hugs and words of encouragement.
Later, the President offered encouraging words of his own to Dawson Springs.
