More Christmas cheer was brought to Princeton and Caldwell County residents Thursday afternoon, thanks to Walmart, Camping World, many volunteers and WPKY.
Margaret, manager of the Princeton Walmart, said she wanted to help her community.
The toy, coat and hand-sanitizer distribution with thousands of donated items took less than two hours with people in need standing in line waiting their turn to do some Christmas shopping. WPKY received dozens of phone calls, emails and facebook messages after the toy distribution on Tuesday from people who were unable to make it. There were still needs, and donations were available but scattered across the region. Many volunteers went to work, gathering up the available items and took them to downtown Princeton so that those who needed them would have them this Christmas season.
