Caldwell Fiscal Court Approves Purchase Of Dump Truck

The Caldwell County Road Department will soon have a new dump truck after action by magistrates at this week’s fiscal court meeting.
Judge-Executive Larry Curling and District 2 Magistrate Jeff Boone both agreed during Tuesday’s meeting that the dump truck, with a price tag of over $111,500, is a need for the county.

During department reports, Caldwell County EMS Supervisor Mark Harrison said he is proud of how all the departments responded during and after the December 10 tornado. He pointed out that there have been several hurdles to work through internally with employees who suffered the loss of family members along with property.

He said he is happy with their response and they had a lot of good people helping after the tornado hit Princeton and Caldwell County.

Harrison also provided an update about the new ambulance that he said was delivered at dark the night of the tornado and is now in Owensboro getting graphics put on. He added the new ambulance should be operational soon.
The next regularly scheduled fiscal court meeting is Tuesday morning, January 11, at 9:00. Anyone interested in addressing the fiscal court at the meeting should contact Judge Curling’s office no later than noon Friday, January 7th.
