Senator Rand Paul Files for Re-election

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul has filed for re-election, according to the state’s election website.
The Bowling Green Republican has represented the state in Washington D.C. since 2011.
He currently serves as the ranking member on the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and serves on the Committee on Health, Education, and Labor; the Committee on Foreign Relations; and the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
Three other Republicans — Arnold Blankenship of Ashland, Tami Stainfield of Marion, and Valerie Fredrick of Murray — have also filed for the primary election.
Four Democrats have also filed to run for the Senate seat.
