A Hopkinsville man, who also reportedly has a Princeton address, was indicted Friday in connection to a fatal shooting at a Clearman Court home last month.
49-year old Bobby Glen Spikes was indicted by a Christian County grand jury for the murder of 35-year old Stanley Bussell of Hopkinsville.
According to state police, during an investigation into the shooting death of 34-year old Candice Marcel of Hopkinsville, they found the body of Bussell at her home on Clearman Court on December 9th. State police said Bussell had died as the result of a gunshot wound.
State police reported Marcel was found dead in the passenger seat of a car that was discovered by a Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy while on patrol on Cerulean Road on December 9, 2021. An autopsy conducted at the Western Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville determined she died of a single gunshot wound.
A Hopkinsville Police arrest citation reported Bussell was lured by a female coworker, identified by state police as Marcel, to her residence where he was shot in the head. The report indicates Spikes is the boyfriend of Marcel and he’s known to frequent her residence.
As the result of both investigations, Hopkinsville Police arrested Spikes, who also reportedly had a Princeton address.
Spikes remains lodged in the Christian County Jail with a cash bond set at $500,000.
