Kentucky State Police have charged an off-duty sheriff’s deputy with strangulation and other offenses.
Post 2 spokesman Trooper Brandon McPherson says they received a call about an assault involving an off-duty Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Deputy on Saturday, January 22.
After an investigation, Trooper McPherson says 41-year old Jeremy Mahan, of Greenville, was charged with first-degree strangulation, third-degree terroristic threatening, and second-degree wanton-endangerment.
No other details were released.
KSP Post 2 is continuing to investigate the incident.
