
Caldwell County Emergency Manager Joey McCaslin says sporadic power outages are occurring across the city and affecting members of the Princeton Electric Plant Board.

Accumulating ice is starting to cause some power outages in Princeton, but currently, the road conditions are just wet but will deteriorate as the temperature continues to drop.
Caldwell County Emergency Manager Joey McCaslin tells WPKY News Edge crews are working to restore power in a portion of Princeton.
click to download audioIn addition, he says a downed tree took out a power line on Cherry and Maple streets and a pole will need to be replaced. McCaslin says he doesn’t have a time frame of when power will be restored.
McCaslin said as of mid-morning Thursday, there had only been one non-injury wreck reported and that was around midnight Wednesday.
As far as road conditions, he says roads are mainly wet right now but will deteriorate and become slick and hazardous throughout the day as the temperature continues to drop
