Princeton Man Injured in Sunday Caldwell County Wreck

A Princeton man was injured in a single-vehicle wreck on Cadiz Street over the weekend.
Princeton Police Chief Chris King reports officers responded to the wreck in the 300 block of Cadiz Street between Nichols and Prince streets shortly after 8:00 Sunday night.
According to the report, 24-year old Matthew S. Rollins, of Princeton, was northbound on Cadiz Street when he lost control of the car due to excessive speed. Rollins overcorrected and the car ran off the right side of the roadway, traveled up an earth embankment, and struck a retaining wall. Officers say the vehicle then became airborne and overturned coming to rest on its top blocking the roadway.
Chief King says a passenger in Rollins vehicle, 30-year old Michael D. Ramey, of Princeton, was transported by Caldwell County EMS to Caldwell County Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Chief King indicates both Rollins and Ramey were wearing seatbelts at the time of the wreck.
Officers were assisted at the scene by Princeton Fire Department.
