The Pennyrile District Health Department has announced 93 total new positive COVID-19 cases were reported around its five-county district on Friday and Monday.
Of those cases, 18 were reported in Caldwell County and involve 4 females and 14 males ranging in age from 2 to 96 years old. Six of the latest cases are under the age of 18.
Elsewhere around the district, 21 new coronavirus cases were reported in Crittenden County, along with 14 new cases in Livingston County, 7 new cases in Lyon County, and 33 new cases in Trigg County.
Meanwhile, on Monday Governor Andy Beshear announced 1,907 new cases of the virus statewide and 32 deaths with a positivity rate of 17.93%. He reported 1,750 cases are currently hospitalized with 322 in intensive care and 162 on ventilators.
