Motorists traveling Interstate 24 in Livingston County Tuesday need to be aware of a mobile pothole patching operation.
District 1 spokesman Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the mobile caravan will be working along I-24 between the Tennessee River Bridge near the 30-mile marker and the Cumberland River near the 33-mile marker.
He says this includes the KY 453 Smithland-Grand Rivers Exit 31 interchange. The crew will be working along both the eastbound and westbound lanes.
According to Todd, the mobile pothole patching crew expects to be on the road from about 9:00 Tuesday morning to 1:00 Tuesday afternoon.
Motorists should be alert for trucks with arrow boards directing traffic to shift lanes to facilitate the work. Motorists should also be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach this mobile work caravan between the 30 and 33-mile marker.
