UPDATE: Caldwell County Repair Shop Destroyed In Friday Fire

A repair shop and its contents were destroyed in a fire in Caldwell County Friday morning.
Princeton Fire Chief Brent Francis tells the WPKY News Edge 13 firefighters with his department and 3 firefighters with the Fredonia Fire Department responded to the fire at 4323 Kentucky Highway 70 just before 10:45 a.m.
He says the owners of the shop Perry and Brandon Cook were able to get a few items out of the repair shop but the building and all of its contents, including a dump truck, bulldozer, some vehicles, an air compressor, tools, and other items were destroyed in the fire.
According to Chief Francis, the fire started when a thermostat got stuck on a heater, causing it to overheat.
There were no injuries reported.
The shop is located between Fredonia and the Flat Rock communities.

Fredonia and Princeton firefighters are on the scene of a shop fire in Caldwell County.
According to emergency reports, firefighters were dispatched to the 4300 block of KY 70 for a large shop fire just before 10:45 a.m.
No other details have been released at this time.
