The City of Eddyville has announced police chief Jaime Green is retiring after two decades with the Eddyville Police Department.
City officials said they are sad to see her go but that they are very happy for her and wish her much luck in her future endeavors.
Chief Jaime Green said in a Facebook post “it’s been a pleasure working with the City of Eddyville for the last 21-years.” Green says she is truly thankful for all the city has done for her and her family. She also thanked the City of Kuttawa and Lyon County for all they have done for her and for allowing her to be a part of their entities and helping any way she can.
Green was officially appointed as police chief on January 6, 2020, after serving as interim chief since December 1, 2019. The appointment came when Shane Allison retired after 16 years as the chief and 22-years on the force. Allison now serves as the assistant police chief with the Princeton Police Department.
Green announced November 3, 2021 she had filed to run for the Lyon County Judge-Executive seat.
The City of Eddyville will host a retirement reception in honor of Chief Green from noon until 2:00 Monday, February 28.
