The Kentucky FFA Foundation has announced that a Caldwell County student is one of the Spring 2022 Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) Launch Grant recipients.
State FFA officials say Laken White’s SAE includes the showing, raising, and selling of Nigerian dwarf, Boer, and Saanen goats. With the grant, White plans to utilize her Artificial Insemination Certification she received last summer and expand her goat production operation.
According to officials, they were able to award 84, $500 grants to deserving students across the state due to generous donations from the Steele Reese Foundation, First Southern National Bank, Owensboro Grain, and the Mulhollem Cravens Foundation.
The Kentucky FFA Foundation will be offering the SAE Launch Grant again in September. Students can learn more about this grant at kyffa.org.
