
A student at Caldwell County High School was awarded 2nd place in the Rotary Club District 6710 Sectional Contest this week.
Dr. Melissa Webb-Earnest with the Princeton Rotary Club says Rachel McClung participated in the sectional contest on Tuesday and presented her speech on the theme “Serve to Change Lives”, which is the Rotary International theme for 2021-22.
McClung was the 1st place winner of the Princeton Rotary Club speech contest held on March 8th at the Majestic House. Three other students, Alanna Harris, Audrey Kinslow and MacKenzie Seibert, also participated in the local Rotary Club’s speech contest.
McClung, a senior at the local high school, will receive a $200 check for her 2nd place award in the sectional contest.
According to Dr. Webb-Earnest, Avery Etheridge of Cadiz was awarded 1st place at the District 6710 Sectional Contest.
