Several more people were indicted on drug possession charges when the Caldwell County Grand Jury convened on April 1.
A true bill was returned on 36-year old Kyron P. Cain, whose address is listed as unknown on the indictment, on charges of alcohol intoxication, second-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, resisting arrest, and second-degree disorderly conduct.
The charges stem from January 26 when Princeton Police said officers attempted to serve Cain with three Caldwell County warrants and he ran. Police said he was apprehended on Garrett Street hiding behind a residence. Cain was reportedly under the influence of intoxicants and found in possession of meth.
24-year old Kursten Ann Myers, of Marion, and 28-year old Joseph C. Pierce, of Princeton, were both indicted on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, complicity.
On February 9, Myers and Pierce were arrested when Caldwell County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to assist probation and parole with a home visit and deputies reportedly found a firearm, a plastic baggie with suspected meth and drug paraphernalia.
56-year old Gilbert Contredas Lopez, of Dawson Springs, was indicted on charges of no/expired registration plates, operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
The charges are in connection to a traffic stop on December 22 when Lopez was pulled over on Dawson Road at the Hopkins County line after Caldwell County Sheriff’s deputies reportedly observed him driving a motorcycle at a high rate of speed. After an investigation, Lopez was taken into custody.
And the grand jury indicted 39-year old Joshua Armbruster, of Fredonia, and 42-year old Vickie J. Jolley, of Calvert City, on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, complicity. Armbruster was also indicted on a no-tail lamps charge.
Armbruster and Jolley were taken into custody by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office on January 30 after an investigation during a traffic stop for no taillights.
