A man indicted by a Lyon County grand jury for reckless homicide was extradited back to Kentucky last week.
Lyon County Sheriff Brent White says Chief Deputy Sam Adams charged 31-year old Jose Antonio with a Lyon Circuit Court Indictment Warrant accusing him of reckless homicide, four counts of fourth-degree assault, driving on a DUI suspended license, and no insurance. Antonio was extradited back to Kentucky and lodged in the Crittenden County Jail last Thursday.
According to state police, Antonio was driving a vehicle eastbound on Interstate 24 in Lyon County that resulted in a head-on collision on June 22, 2020, that claimed the life of a passenger in the other vehicle involved in the wreck.
Police said an arrest warrant was issued for Antonio, of Portland, Tennessee, on November 3, 2021. He was taken into custody by the Portland, Tennessee Police Department last month.
