The City of Dawson Springs will sponsor listening sessions for community members next week about the city’s future as it starts to rebuild from a tornado that devastated the town over four months ago.
City leaders are asking the community to join the conversation regarding the future of Dawson Springs for the children, families and businesses. City officials say they believe that people who get involved and strive to be good neighbors can rebuild this city that they all love and cherish. They noted this is why they have made the commitment to sponsor some Community Listening sessions — at a time that is convenient for your schedule.
According to city leaders, the Community Listening and Design Sessions will be held at City Hall located at 200 West Arcadia Avenue. The session will be open Monday – Thursday, May 2-5, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Friday, May 6 the city’s leaders will be listening from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. so that community members can stop by at a time that works for you. In addition, they say planning professionals will be there to help the city listen to your ideas for building back Dawson Springs stronger than ever.
